FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX TOPS OFF THE PADDOCK BUILDING
Executives from Liberty Media Corporation, Formula 1® and Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., as well as state and local elected officials participated today in a topping out ceremony at the Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock Building. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the construction of the only permanent structure of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX.
The event began with a signing of the track safety barrier and continued with remarks from Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. CEO Renee Wilm, Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali, and Liberty Media President and CEO Greg Maffei that reinforced their ongoing commitment to making Las Vegas the official headquarters for F1® in the United States. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo and Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson highlighted the positive impact the race will have on the destination in 2023 and the next decade.

“The topping out ceremony brings us one step closer to the most highly anticipated race of the year,” said Renee Wilm, Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. CEO. “Additionally, this milestone also reinforced Liberty Media’s long-term commitment to the goal of making Las Vegas a permanent stop on the F1 calendar.”
“The ceremony for the Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock Building presented a significant milestone as it signifies F1’s expansion in the United States,” said Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1 President and CEO. “Las Vegas will become the official F1 headquarters in the U.S.”
“This ceremony also serves as a moment to honor and thank all who were involved in creating a building of this magnitude,” said Greg Maffei, Liberty Media President and CEO. “From local officials to the more than 400 construction workers who helped build the Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock Building, this was a true community effort that deserves to be celebrated.”
The ceremony marks a notable moment in the construction of the Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock Building which will serve as a hub for the highly anticipated race, set to light up the Las Vegas Strip on November 16-18, 2023. The Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock Building will serve as the home to pit lanes, luxury hospitality offerings such as the Paddock Club and numerous other premium experiences.
When complete, the iconic pit building will become a landmark in Las Vegas, located on Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane. Upon construction completion, the Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock Building will be the length of three football fields and stand three stories high with a rooftop overlooking The Strip, making it the largest paddock building on the race calendar.
